Welcome to KleanCo. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, “Services”), including the facilitation of bookings for cleaning services provided by independent cleaners (“Cleaners”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use our Services.
Please read these Terms carefully, as they contain important information about your legal rights, obligations, and remedies.

Overview of the Marketplace KleanCo. is an online platform that connects individuals and businesses seeking cleaning services (“Customers”) with independent service providers (“Cleaners”). We act solely as an intermediary to facilitate the arrangement of cleaning services. The contract for services is formed directly between Customers and Cleaners. We DO NOT employ Cleaners and are not responsible for the actual cleaning services performed.

Eligibility To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Be resident in the UK or use our platform for services performed within the UK.
- We reserve the right to refuse access to our Services to anyone at any time for any reason.
- User Accounts
a. Account Creation: To use certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information.
- Safeguard your account login details.
- You are responsible for all activities under your account and agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We are not liable for any losses or damages arising from your failure to protect your account.
b. Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent or harmful behaviour.
- Services and Bookings
a. Service Descriptions: The Cleaners listed on our platform provide independent cleaning services. We do not guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of the services performed, and we recommend that Customers carry out their own due diligence before hiring a Cleaner.
b. Booking Process: Customers can book cleaning services by selecting a Cleaner, providing service details (e.g., date, location, cleaning type), and confirming payment. Once a booking is confirmed, a contract is formed directly between the Customer and the Cleaner. We facilitate the booking and payment process but do not perform or manage the actual cleaning services.
c. Customer Obligations Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate details for the service (e.g., access instructions, specific requirements).
- Ensure the premises are safe and accessible at the agreed service time.
- Provide necessary cleaning materials (if required by the Cleaner).
- Notify the Cleaner or us of any issues with the service within a reasonable time.
d. Cleaner Obligations Cleaners agree to:
- Provide services with due skill, care, and diligence.
- Comply with applicable health, safety, and legal standards.
- Communicate promptly regarding any changes to the booking or issues related to service delivery.
- Maintain appropriate insurance, licences, or permits as required by law.
- Payments, Fees, and Refunds
a. Payment Process: Payments for cleaning services are facilitated through our platform. Customers must provide valid payment information when confirming a booking, and payments will be processed upon confirmation. Cleaners receive payments after the service is completed, subject to applicable platform fees.
b. Service Fees: We charge Cleaners a service fee for using our platform, which is deducted from the payment made by the Customer. The specific fee structure is communicated to Cleaners during registration and may be updated periodically.
c. Cancellations and Refunds: Customer Cancellations: Customers can cancel bookings in line with our cancellation policy. Cancellations made close to the scheduled service time may result in a cancellation fee.
Cleaner Cancellations: If a Cleaner cancels a booking, we will try to find a replacement. If no replacement is available, the Customer will receive a full refund.
Refunds: Customers may request a refund if the service provided is unsatisfactory. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we will issue refunds at our discretion.
d. Late Payment Fees: Customers who fail to make payment within the agreed timeframe may be subject to late payment fees in accordance with UK law (Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998).
- User Conduct You agree to use our Services lawfully and in compliance with these Terms and applicable UK laws. You must not:
- Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
- Falsify information or impersonate another person.
- Engage in abusive, threatening, or harassing behaviour towards other users.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated methods to access or scrape data from the platform.
- We reserve the right to investigate and take action against any behaviour that violates these Terms, including suspending or terminating accounts.
- Reviews and Feedback Customers can provide feedback and reviews about Cleaners after a service. By submitting reviews, you agree to:
- Provide honest and fair feedback.
- Avoid posting defamatory, false, or misleading content.
- We reserve the right to remove or edit reviews that violate these Terms or are otherwise inappropriate.
- Intellectual Property All content on the platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the intellectual property of KleanCo. or its licensors and is protected by UK intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content from the platform without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of any content (e.g., profile information, photos) that you upload to the platform but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content as part of our Services.
- Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- We are not liable for the actions or omissions of Cleaners, nor for any damages arising from the cleaning services provided through the platform.
- We do not guarantee the availability or accuracy of the Services and shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the Services will not exceed the amount you have paid for the specific booking.
- Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.
- Indemnity You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KleanCo., its affiliates, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:
- Your use of the platform or Services.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Any claim made by a third party due to your actions on the platform.

Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may terminate your account by contacting us at any time. Upon termination, you must stop using the platform, but the provisions of these Terms relating to indemnity, intellectual property, and limitation of liability will survive.

Prohibition of Off-Platform Transactions
- Clients and cleaners are expressly prohibited from engaging in any business transactions or service arrangements outside of KleanCo. for services originally facilitated through the platform. Engaging in off-platform transactions will result in the loss of all protections provided by KleanCo., including but not limited to insurance coverage, dispute resolution, and payment security.
- In the event that off-platform transactions are discovered, both parties involved may be subject to a fine of up to £1,000. This policy is designed to maintain the security, integrity, and fairness of our marketplace for all users.
- By using KleanCo., you agree to adhere to this policy, and any violation may result in financial penalties and potential removal from the platform.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
a. Governing Law: These Terms and your use of the platform are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
b. Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute with us informally by contacting info@mykleanco.co.uk. If we are unable to resolve the dispute, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the platform after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
